The good side of the residential school story

Residential schools are Canada's shame. For roughly 100 years, their aim was to break the back of family, community, history and spirituality. The good always along the bad, just as the story of journalist's mother's stories has told. Lead by such example and use the opportunity to create harmony, to create harmony, to create a more balanced future for all of Canadians.

O Canada

O Canada!
Our home and native land!
True patriot love in all thy sons command.
With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The True North strong and free!
From far and wide,
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
God keep our land glorious and free!
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

Sunnybrook

Sunnybrook Park is a large public park in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located north of Leaside and south of the Bridle Pathareas of the city. The park is home to many bike trails, dog parks, and Sunnybrook Stables.

Joseph, the teacher of linc,  led us to pay this park a visit on last Friday. Joseph picked up some students at the DonMills station because some student does not have a car and do not know the exact location.

The first trail is accompanied by many animals, including a beaver, the national symbol of Canada and which you can find at the 5 cent coin. During the journey, Joseph showed us how to use the phases of chicken off.

After a delicious picnic, we visited the horse stables and played on the biggest ground. The sun is shinning but it can prevent us from the funny sports of soccer and other games. It is a funny park and we enjoyed it.

tiff

Tiff, Toronto international film festival,  is a charitable cultural organization with a mission to transform the way people see the world, through film. The class of Linc has a visit to this organization last Thursday. The organization is founded in 1976 and has 40 years history. The main income is from the donation, including the land donated by the founder family.

The most special characteristic of the building is the box. When you entered into the hall, you will find a lot of boxes with different color.  The most important box is the control box which is red.

According to the volunteer speaker,"you can find a lot of movie star on the wall of washroom." We found many Asian stars which we are very familiar.

We have learned a lot of knowledge of the film festival and got the chance to be a volunteer. It is very interesting.
